An individual Viewpoint on Accomplishing Excellent Digestive Health

Several of my close friends are aware that I have an interest in digestive health. In discussion with a few of them this week, they asked me what I’d do to guarantee a very robust gastrointestinal tract for myself. I was startled. I’ll explain the reason…

I’ve written a lot about many aspects of healthy digestive health that I haven’t really stepped back and considered it as a whole. What might I do if I were required to set up a plan for my own digestive tract? It’s bizarre how you are relaxed offering guidance to others but when you need to think about your own position, it can be quite demanding.

Firstly, let us specify a context. It is becoming increasingly observable that diet is crucial to good overall health and well being. One of the worlds leading medical research establishments based in Britain has stated that the overwhelming majority of degenerative diseases are often as a result of an imbalance of intestinal flora which weakens the digestive system.  How’s that for a starting point?

I have problems with high cholesterol, hence my diet plan should be low in saturated fats and low in sugars. My health practitioner suggested that I consume a little more fish, especially oily fish which are high in omega 3. He also stated that several foods like eggs, dairy and fatty meat goods aren’t suitable in my diet because they have got high concentrations of cholestoral. Here’s my dilemma. Furthermore, I suffer from gout. Gout is instigated by high amounts of acetic acid in the body that is brought on by having food items abundant in a substance called purine. So which foods have high levels of purines? Fish, meat, sweet meats, meat extracts etc. My issue is the fact that after you get rid of foods which are bad for cholestoral and next eliminate foods high in purine, there is a constrained selection I am permitted to eat! My challenge, and for those in a similar situation, is to arrange my diet thoroughly.

After that there’s the issue of an effective digestive system. An efficient digestive system, at least from my standpoint, is one that extracts the nutrients from the food we devour and effectively gets rid of the waste elements that we don’t require. If both of these operations is lacking in any way, then it could actually bring on health issues. For instance, the rate that our food transfers through our digestive tract is important for nutrient assimilation and constipation. If waste products move slowly by way of the digestive system and then more water is taken out which stiffens the stools.

Okay why don’t we go back to the original query. What precisely would I personally implement? I’d like to state  an essential point at this juncture. I am not a general practitioner so am not trained to give medical advice. What I am about to say is a personal opinion based on my own knowledge and may not be appropriate for all. As I said earlier, we are all different and should make a plan that suits our own situation.

First of all, I would organize my personal diet plan. I would consider precisely what foods are good for me and I’d be sure that these are abundant in my program. Fruit, greens, whole grains and cereals for instance. I’d also have those things that I appreciate but are less than ideal for me but mainly in moderation. I really like chocolate such as condensed milk by way of example! I’d then cleanse my large intestine of any built up fecal matter employing a super colon cleanse. This would eliminate any waste attached to my colon that may lead to problems later on. Afterward I would add to my diet program with reputable probiotic yogurt. Probiotics supplements are very important simply because they add “good bacteria” to the digestive tract. Last of all I would supplement with a routine multivitamin to make certain that any missing nutrients in my diet plan are included.

Great digestive health is critical to a long life and overall health and wellbeing.  Some won’t go along with my solution and that’s okay.  Nevertheless, I do think that following my guidelines could well be a substantial improvement for a lot of people.
